Effective date: 27 August 2025
1) Who we are
JetLog is operated in the United Kingdom by Gavin Somerset (“JetLog”, “we”, “us”). Contact: support@jetlogapp.com.
2) What JetLog is
JetLog is a mobile application for aircraft spotting and fleet tracking. It lets users browse fleets, log aircraft sightings, and view live flight data.
3) Accounts & eligibility
- The app is available to users of all ages. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, please involve a parent/guardian for any actions that share personal information (e.g., support emails).
- Sign-in (Google/Apple) is optional, and required only for premium logbook features.
- You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity on your account.
4) Subscriptions & payments
- The app is free to download and use. The logbook is offered as a monthly subscription.
- Prices, billing periods and renewal terms are shown at checkout in the app store or payment screen you use.
- Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can manage or cancel through your platform account settings.
- Where required by law, you may have a cooling-off or refund right via the platform’s policies. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.
5) Your content & licence to us
- You retain all intellectual property rights in the content you create or upload in the app (e.g., sighting notes, photos).
- You grant JetLog a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display and adapt that content solely to operate, provide and improve the app and its features.
- You must only upload content you have the right to use and that complies with law.
6) Data & privacy
- Your spotting data (logs, notes, photos) is stored on your device; JetLog does not centrally store this data on its own servers.
- We may process limited data for authentication, diagnostics and support; see the Privacy Policy for full details.
7) Third-party services
JetLog integrates third-party services (for example, authentication, aircraft/imagery data, and crash analytics). Those providers may process limited data as needed to deliver their services and remain responsible for their own terms and privacy practices.
8) Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, or use it for unlawful purposes.
- Do not scrape or bulk-download data except where features are explicitly provided (e.g., export tools).
- Respect others’ rights, including copyright and privacy.
9) Alpha/Beta features
During the alpha period, features are experimental and may change, break or be removed. The app is provided “as is” with no promise that it is free of defects. Please report issues and feedback to support@jetlogapp.com.
10) Termination
- You may stop using JetLog at any time. You can export or delete your local data on your device.
- We may suspend or terminate access or subscriptions (for example, for misuse, non-payment, or legal risk). Where appropriate we will give notice.
11) Disclaimers
- JetLog provides information for general use by aviation enthusiasts. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness or availability of data (including live flight data and imagery).
- To the extent permitted by law, JetLog is provided “as is” and we exclude warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12) Liability
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g., fraud or personal injury caused by negligence).
- Subject to the above, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill or business interruption.
13) Changes to the service
We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time. If a change materially affects paid features, we’ll take reasonable steps to notify affected subscribers.
14) Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here with the effective date above. If updates materially affect your rights for paid features, we will provide reasonable notice.
15) Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law provides you broader rights in your country of residence.
