JetLog respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect, what we don’t, and how your information is used.

Who we are

JetLog is operated in the United Kingdom by Gavin Somerset (“JetLog”, “we”, “us”). You can contact us at support@jetlogapp.com.

What we collect

  • Account sign-in (optional) — If you choose to use premium logbook features, you may sign in with Google/Apple. We receive only the minimum info needed to authenticate your account.
  • App preferences — Settings such as map layer, theme, and filters are stored locally on your device.
  • Crash/diagnostics — During alpha testing, the app may send anonymised crash reports to help us fix issues.

What we do not collect

  • Your spotting data (logs, notes, photos) — These remain on your device. We do not store your spotted aircraft data on JetLog servers.
  • We do not sell or monetise your personal data.

How we use information

We use information solely to provide the app, enable premium authentication, improve reliability and performance, and support you when you contact us.

Third-party services

JetLog uses third-party providers for services such as authentication, crash analytics, and aircraft/imagery data. These providers process limited data as needed to deliver their service and are bound by their own privacy terms.

Your choices

  • You can use JetLog without signing in (non-premium features).
  • You can clear or export your local data from your device at any time.
  • You can contact us to request deletion of any support emails you’ve sent us.

Data security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data we handle. Where data is processed by third parties, they apply their own security controls.

Children

JetLog is designed for aviation enthusiasts of all ages. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, please ask a parent/guardian before submitting personal information (e.g., support emails).
